The latter is our William and Fereby Vaughan living in Russell Co Virginia. The other names listed at that time in this county and town (sparse populations)  is most likely our Vaughan’s too.

The spelling may be off on all Vaughan’s Fereby’s a Benton lineof his area...People were not educated and even the record keepers couldn’t spell and sounded out names was normal for that period of time. Go back to these records and pull up Fereby’s line too in the 1700. Since these names pd in pounds they prob. were some of the first to arrive in America. Fereby’s and family’s were already in the area?
+Not all American Indian's were completely white...study the Book of Mormon on the Indian issues. It was written for the Indians. These are the Lamenites (Indian or brown) spoken of in this book who was captured the Nephites (white, actually Jew i.e. from Jerusalem) Those who do this line will fail trying to prove this ancester is  totally Indian..
