Notes
HUSBAND Solomon STONE
1. From Ancestral File (TM), data as of 2 January 1996.
2. Has three birth dates 1800, 1805 and 1845? Maybe no record if this is an indian line. The sounds like his son may have an indian name. The family may have guessed at their dates?
Benj. because of the space in b. dates may be his son and/or may have other children.
See Mr. W. B. Harp 2551 N. Holly Dr. Tracy, Ca. 95376
3. 1860 AR census pge 8 #104 index lists: Malinda Stone 42, Little Berry 21-m and Elizabeth Wilson 17-f. (wife, sister or neighbor?) check out.
4. Research Vol 1-2 1966, F 410, F 410.474X, BYU Family History Library, Provo, Utah which cannot connect yet, mentioned Little Berry Stone (Winn)? His wife?
This name seems to be popular in the area Littleberry Stone is sometimes one word instead of two.
5. Rockhouse Cemetery, by Agnes Harp pge 43. (a stone with S. Stone) However this stone has no dates on it.
Story: Solomon Stone gave his 16 slaves their freedom and his land and moved to Washington County, Arkansas, then to Flat Creek, Missouri.
WIFE
Malinda"Molly" VAUGHAN
1. From Ancestral File (TM), data as of 2 January 1996.
Vaughan's were also part Cherokee! But many of these Cherokee were White so the DNA is proving out in this line. (Women are the carriers)
2. Been: 1850 AR census doesn't have Nancy, would be about 22 which would be married in these days. She may be dead or on a first marriage.
This may not be her husband on the 1850 c. Ark. and may be deleted. The clashing of the listed two children in ea.
Malinda"Molly" VAUGHAN
This may not be her husband on the 1850 c. Ark. and may be deleted. The clashing of the listed two children in ea. marriage on the same birth date is unlikely.
The question is...is this Lucinda...and is this a second marriage? Yet both and/or same was married to David Vaughan, same birth and place of birth. And they lived next door to all the Harps.
I removed the "Molly" as a nickname from Malinda Vaughan thinking she was called Lucinda? If not he had two wives but the children are from another Lucinda so this makes more sense.
Note: I have a notation that says" Lawrence Co. Tn and Marion Co Tn 18 ?
3. 254040 film no. 1880 Prairie Twp Carroll Co., AR pge. 262 the 16 Jun 1880. This census says Malinda Stone, visiting the Vaughan's or boarding, is 67 years old and b. in 1800 not 1813 but it doesn't add up correctly? They are living next door to the Harp's James, Sarah and William and Ellen Harp. Also John Harp.
4. "Madison Co., AR Population Schedule of the United States Census of 1860. # 103 by Ruby Wiedeman. SL Lib.
She is 42 Born TN (1818) at this time Madison Co., AR census. (pge 15, #198) This is just a index.
Malinda Stone 42 TN, Little Berry Stone and Elizabeth Wilson 17 also of TN who is prob a daughter-in-law "Sarah".
#198 page 15, Prairie Twp., shows a possible son living not far from their residence #193
His name is James Vaughan 21 AR., his wife Florah A she's 25 from N.C. and two children Dotia, she 3 born in AR., and Pinkey the only male child who is four months.
The mystery is what is her maiden name? Her married name maybe Vaughan and for sure Stone. However our line does not come from Little Berry Stone which seems to be her only child by "Stone" this marriage.

Out-Of-Wedlock rumors may apply?
5. Name could have been Nancy Malinda-says Evelyn Johnson

Researcher Pat Thompson: AFN:W1H2-10 "Madison Co., AR Population Schedule of the United States Census of 1860. # 103 by Ruby Wiedeman. BYU Lib. He is 21 years of age at the time of this census and is listed with Malinda Stone 42 TN, Elizabeth Wilson 17 also of TN. Maybe his mother was also married to a Wilson or she was just visiting?
WIFE Sarah, Elizabeth WILSON AFN:W1H2-25 Ancestral file 27 Nov 1998 says she was born abt 1846 in Arkansas not Tennessee.

jd.mv.je-aumbro@att..net says, "According to some old notes I found (maybe from my Aunt Elsie- who published most of her stories in the Madison Muse), there was a Molly Vaughan, sister of Daniel, who married a Stone. There is a note that her descendants are Harps. The note also says that William came to Eureka Springs about 1825 and Samuel, Daniel and Molly came about 1831. Samuel and Daniel came first to Evansville (then Indian land) and moved by soldiers. This note also says that William was a descendant of Thomas and Henry in Wales )another note says Henry)."
